Before paying anyone, use the channels that actually have power to act โ and cost nothing:

What legitimate paid help actually looks like
Some cases โ usually larger ones, or where the scammer is identifiable โ can benefit from a professional. Legitimate help comes from people who are licensed and accountable, and who are honest that recovery is never guaranteed:
