How to report a crypto scam in Brazil

Act fast. If funds left via Pix or bank transfer, contact your bank's ouvidoria and Banco Central (145) immediately — some banks run a special fraud-reversal mechanism (MED) — then file an online police report.

Report online — the fastest step

File an online police report (Boletim de Ocorrência) at your state's Delegacia Eletrônica/Digital — it has the same legal validity as an in-person report and is available 24/7. For large or cross-border crypto schemes, also file with the Polícia Federal via Comunica PF.

Banco Central: 145 / 0800-979-2345 (bank/Pix issues).

Who to report to in Brazil

Check before you pay

Check whether the platform appears in the CVM's irregular-offers / stop-orders (Atos Declaratórios) list before or while reporting. The CVM doesn't recover money, but filing helps build the public warning list.
