How to report a crypto scam in France
Report the scam online and, for investment fraud, file a complaint with the police or gendarmerie — and contact your bank straight away.
Report to these authorities
- •THESEE — file an online complaint for e-scams (via service-public.gouv.fr). For fake crypto-investment sites, also file in person at a police station or gendarmerie.
- •PHAROS — report the fraudulent website/content.
- •AMF — check the blacklist and report unauthorised investment firms.
- •Your bank — call immediately to flag the payment.
Do this in every case
- •Stop all contact and send no more money — including "fees" or "taxes" to withdraw.
- •Secure your accounts (passwords + 2FA) and move any remaining crypto.
- •Preserve evidence: screenshots, wallet addresses, transaction hashes.
- •Report the scam wallet address on Chainabuse.
