How to report a crypto scam in Italy

Act fast. Contact your bank or payment provider immediately to try to block or recall the transfer, then report online to the Polizia Postale and file a formal denuncia in person.

Report online โ€” the fastest step

Report online to the Polizia Postale (the "Phishing" category fits crypto/investment fraud). Note the online report does not replace a formal criminal complaint (denuncia/querela) โ€” you must also file that in person at a Polizia Postale office or Carabinieri station.

Emergency: 113 (or EU 112). CONSOB switchboard: 06 8477 1.

Who to report to in Italy

Check before you pay

Check the name against CONSOB's blocked-sites list (ordini di oscuramento) and its investor warnings โ€” CONSOB has blocked 1,600+ abusive sites, including 100+ crypto-related. It doesn't recover funds, but a listed site confirms the scam.
