How to report a crypto scam in the Philippines
Report to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group and/or the NBI, and notify the relevant regulator. Contact your bank or e-wallet straight away.
Report to these authorities
- •PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) — email acg@pnp.gov.ph or report online; tel (02) 3414 1560.
- •NBI Cybercrime Division — email ccd@nbi.gov.ph or file online.
- •SEC — for investment fraud; BSP — for crypto exchanges (VASPs) and banks.
Do this in every case
- •Stop all contact and send no more money — including "fees" or "taxes" to withdraw.
- •Tell your bank or e-wallet immediately to flag the transaction.
- •Preserve evidence: screenshots, wallet addresses, transaction hashes.
- •Report the scam wallet address on Chainabuse.
⚠️ Beware "recovery" services. Anyone who contacts you promising to get your money back for an upfront fee is almost always a second scam. See the red flags →
